Within the framework of the meeting of the project team LV-RU-040 NewLINE, which took place on June 11, 2020, the Latvian partner informed their Russian colleagues about the completion of the improvement works of the Bear Garden (Lāča dārzs) in Balvi. The works will be completed on June 30, 2020. The works included leveling the terrain, restoring the grass cover, updating the path network, cleaning and landscaping the park pond. The total area of works amounted to more than 4 hectares of territory.
The event was attended by partner organizations of the NewLINE project: NGO “Lake Peipsi Project (Pskov)”, Balvi Municipality (Latvia), and the Center for Curative Pedagogics and Differentiated Learning of the Pskov Region.
Infrastructure works on the Russian side have also begun in May: by August 30, 2020, the Center for Curative Pedagogics is planning to improve a part of the Korytovo Forest Park in Pskov.
