A ZOOM meeting of the Steering Committee of the NewLINE Project took place

On June 29, 2020 a ZOOM meeting of the Steering Committee of the LV-RU-040 NewLINE project took place.

Partner organizations – NGO “Lake Peipsi Project (Pskov)”, Balvi municipality (Latvia) and Center of Curative Pedagogics and Differentiated Learning of the Pskov Region presented to the SC members intermediate results of the project. In particular, the project infrastructure component was discussed – improvement of the Balvi Central Park (Latvia) and the Pskov Korytovo Forest Park; information products – an interactive map of historical manors on the Russian-Latvian border, the project website and a Visual Guide to the ancient manor parks that is currently being prepared. The progress of the project, adjusted for the forced delay of public events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was considered successful.

Recall that the project LV-RU-040 NewLINE “New life of old parks” was supported by the Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. The duration of the project is 24 months; all activities are planned to be completed by June 2021. The main objective of the project is to give a new impetus to the development of historical manor parks in the Russian-Latvian border as safe, attractive and accessible natural and cultural destinations for residents and guests of the region.
