Zvartava castle was built in 1881 and it is one of the most remarkable architectural sites of neo-gothic style in Latvia. The castle is located in Zvartava, Gaujiena County, Ape Region.
The interior decoration has been partially preserved. At Zvartava castle, one of the few comprehensive examples of neo-Gothic interiors in Latvia is currently served by the Union of Latvian artists.
Initially, the Zvartava estate had a regular garden built at the end of the 18th century, and at the end of the 19th century it was equipped with a landscape Park of 9.7 hectares. The Park was created on the shore of a lake located on a slope. Slope on the terrace of the master house, behind the terraces a wide lawn with exotic tapeworms. In the West of the Park on exotic coniferous trees is a rich forest Park with prospects for the lake.
The Park displays local and foreign species of trees and shrubs.
