The castle that is built in the first half of the 19th century by the model of von Wolf family house in Jaunlaicene is situated on the picturesque banks of the Pededze River and enclosed by a landscape park. Litene Primary School, established in the castle in 1924, still operates there.
The Park has an area of 15.36 hectares. The terrain in front of the house of the Lord is flat, and beyond it, in the Pededze valley, there is a river bay with exotic groups of trees. The front yard between the house of the Lord and the highway with a large group of trees and the center of the regular layout. Behind the building stood Pededze temple with several rows of trees. Through the Pededze bridge over the bay, the stage and the sports area are located. Local and exotic species of trees and bushes have been planted in the park.
