The locality was formed at the former Janmuiza castle (Johannehof). In 1757, the manor of Janmuiza as part of the of Cesis castle appears in the documents of the revision of the Vidzeme estate. In 1777, the owner of the Cesis Palace, Baron Karlis Adam Wolff separated the manor and created a separate manor on the base of seven Livi county peasant houses.
The Park has a plan drawn from the 18th century. A straight and long walk road, with stairs, a bridge. Another, slightly shorter, led out of the house of the Lord to the West, where it crossed another path at the edge of the forest. The area is 5.3 ha. It is located in the ancient valley of Gauja. The Park remained weak. Decorative plantings were built in the North and Northwest of the former house of the Lord on the banks of the river Gauja, their layout is geometric. Local and foreign species were planted in the Park.
