ILZENE MANOR

The beginning of the development of the Ilzene manor in the 18th century, the 1st side of the 20th century. Currently, the manor and surrounding buildings are in poor condition. Since the time of the Baron, only the parquet in the hall and in one of the rooms has been preserved in those times. Ilzene manor was first mentioned in 1690. The house was built in 1740 in the classical style. Manor was bought for family needs by Baron Kapenhausen.

The greatest boom of the estate is associated with 1881, when in the Ilzene manor begins major reconstruction work. The Park was created. Near the main entrance of the building, a wide parade ground was created and a 4-row oak alley was planted. The Park (6.3 ha), of which 0.2 ha occupies 2 large ponds. The Park once had 17 trees of different varieties.
