BIKOVA MANOR

The name of the Bikova manor has been mentioned in the chronicle from the 17th century. The manor complex consisted of a house of master and a free-plan park, with a wall chapel built in 1820, a house of manager and servants, several farm buildings and stables. In the 20-30years of 20th century after the 1905 fire, the house was renovated and the second floor was built. Since 1937, Gaigalava elementary school has been in the manor. There are stories of the former masters’ house that there are several secret passages under it, leading to the church and the graves. An architectural monument of local importance.
