BEBRENE MANOR PARK

The park is an outstanding monument of gardens and parks, one of the most expressive landscape parks in Latvia, with an area of 7.9 hectares. The park was built in the late 19th century, but it still has 200 year old oaks. The central part of the park is surrounded by a local road, which offers views of views with different landscapes, which are complemented by 3 ponds: the largest of them is Dzirnavu pond, both others are smaller – one with a landscape island that leads to a romantic bridge.

The park identified a taxon of 81 trees and shrubs (species, subspecies, and varieties): 30 local species and 51 foreign ones. Special park values should include national and local monuments, such as trees and strange trees. Protected beetles and different birds have found their place in the old and chattered trees. The park has a great dendrological value and a very remarkable value as a garden and park art monument, as well as a conservation site for biodiversity in nature.

Visitors the park of the Bebrene manor can explore both – walking or riding in a horse-drawn carriage.
