BAUNI MANOR

Bauni manor was built in 1770 and was one of the most beautiful manors of the surrounding area, with luxurious pots. By the middle of the 1930s, the manor building was demolished, and the unpopulated R wing of the manor was still preserved. Sievers was the first to introduce the idea of a political rural Villa to Latvia: two small pavilion structures rose at the ends of the building, connecting galleries with the main building. Here, a new classic style of “country house” has appeared vividly.

The area of the park is 41.75 ha, of which the pond occupies 10.75 ha. The manor is almost not preserved. The highway crosses the open-plan Park. The part of the Park closest to the castle has been greatly transformed. On the other side of the highway is a system of parallel ponds included in regular plantings.
