DZELZAVA MANOR

Around 1750, a single ensemble of Baroque buildings was created around the courtyard of the round front yards. For entrance gates on both sides there are barns and stables with a farm building. On both sides of the courtyard, facing each other, was the servants ‘ house and the steward’s house, and finally the house of the Lord. It burned down in 1905 and was restored in 1908. according to the architect. Wilhelm Bockslaff was restored the estate of the exact same form as it was before burning. At the same time, construction details – doors, windows, stairs, created as analogues of the original ones.

The park was set up in the 19 th century. Area – 3 ha of which the pond spans 0,1 ha. In front of the castle, a circle, a small terrace on the other side and a orchard behind it. Outside the orchard, old, park-like plantings. The basics of seedlings are based on the main types of woody trees.
