PANTENE MANOR

Currently, only the ruins are left. The manor was powerful: with 99 rooms, towers of the castle. The estate originally belonged to the widow of Vigant Sherenberg. King Stefan in 1585 gave it to the fiscal of Vidzeme, Balthasar Schnel. The Swedish king Gustav Adolf purchased this estate and in 1630 gave it to major Laijs (Levis). For the descendants of Levis, this estate still belongs.

The area of the Park is 1.97 ha, of which the pond occupies 0.06 ha. The Central building was destroyed. The Park is small and shady. Fragments of free-plan plantings around the former castle and a small pond have been preserved. The Park displays local and exotic species of trees and shrubs. Pantene Park is home to the usual Latvian tree species.
